Workshop in hometown high school​

Forty-five students as well as the chemistry and physics teachers from the school “Col•legi Cultural de Badalona” in Barcelona, Spain participated in the workshop that was designed by Sergi Sanchez Gamero (DC 9) in collaboration with his former physics teacher.

Sergi delivered the workshop on the 8th of March 2024. He introduced the students to his own scientific area: characteristics of hydrogen, hydrogen production, ways of extracting energy from hydrogen and some real-world applications. He also explained what a researcher can achieve with simulation and optimization. Additionally, he provided information about the Horizon Europe programs and motivated the students to apply for a scholarship in the future.

The workshop aroused the interest of students and teachers. As a result, Sergi was invited to deliver his workshop to a new group of students next year!
